My good friend David and I had been walking all day looking for wild birds to photograph,
and were coming home empty handed. On the way back we gave a pond near Canungra a
try. In a field there, were growing these fungi, and unfortunately I haven't been able to find
a name for them. Believe it or not, the names in the poem are real places.
Or do they exist just in my imagination?

love the little lyric - the photo is grand - wonderful light and texture - no one would believe Biddadabba and Wongelpond are real places - except me - because we've been there. Missed the leprechaun but not the fairy ring

Fairyland

On the road to Biddaddaba
just west of Wonglepong
there is a grassy field
beside a magic pond

There there grew a fairy-ring
and in the light of dawn
beneath that fungi parasol
sat a smiling Leprechaun
