My good friend David and I had been walking all day looking for wild birds to photograph,
and were coming home empty handed. On the way back we gave a pond near Canungra a
try. In a field there, were growing these fungi, and unfortunately I haven't been able to find
a name for them. Believe it or not, the names in the poem are real places.
Or do they exist just in my imagination?

On the road to Biddaddaba
just west of Wonglepong
there is a grassy field
beside a magic pond
There there grew a fairy-ring
and in the light of dawn
beneath that fungi parasol
sat a smiling Leprechaun
