Kangaroo Paw

These beautiful flowers are called Kangaroo Paws. They belong to the genus Anigozanthus, and have become very popular as landscaping plants.

As a result, there are now many hybrids, with variations in colour, size and disease tolerance.

These two species were photographed at Rosser Park, on the Gold Coast, the mass plantings making a bold statement.
