Breathless air does about all, sleep
and over grass, white crystals lay
as winter's long icy fingers creep
for it's seasons tune to play
The dark and trailing veil of night
does slip between the trees, away
golden rays do kiss the leaves a high
to seamless transition into day
A creek is full and running down
with varied rhythms, fast and slow
it whispers over rocks smoothed round
then to pool, for respect to show
There, frozen air and tepid waters meet
with sun's soft touch and warm blessing
an ethereal veil of white, does greet
all creatures free, in their passing.

On a very chilly winters day, a walk along the bank of a creek near Canungra, revealed this pretty and tranquil misty scene.
And in the pool swam a quiet and gentle Platypus.
It was lovely to see.
