Why The Spit?

It's big, it's beautiful and it's free to all of us 24/7.....We can dress how we like, and carry a picnic lunch, without having our bag searched.....We can surf, or go fishing, some might like bushwalking, others birdwatching. A great place for a run, or take some pictures. We can sit on the rocks and watch the sun on the water. Or walk the dog.....How wonderful to find a place like this in a big city. The "Big End Of Town" sees it very differently though. We need to be on guard, or it could all be snatched away.
